individual - Personal Training

Placeholder ImageRichard Greifinger is my personal trainer. His workouts, sunny manner, and gentle reminders that "I have goals" have transformed my life. As a retired school teacher, workouts were the last thing on my mind. Walking around the block was my exercise. Then my nieces' and nephews' children came along—three girls and two boys.

Having spare time, I spent a day a week with the girls, for reading enrichment and fun. The motivation to become stronger came from the boys. I found it impossible to care for both boys at a time. They wore me out. The day the one-year old prepared to spend the day with me and his four-year-old brother cried because he could not come too, I called Richard.

My goal was to develop strength and stamina to provide enhanced learning experiences one day a week for two energetic boys, two- and four years old. Within a couple of months, I became strong enough to keep up with and to enjoy their company. We walk to playgrounds, enjoy projects, and visit interesting places. Our water fights are the talk of the neighborhood (in a good way).

Unanticipated benefits have appeared over time, including the energy to mow the lawn and renovate gardens, a more active social life, and a more positive outlook on life. I intend to continue training with Richard. Life is better when we're stronger.

Richard provides guidance on how to use good form and the variations of how to do exercises to get the most benefit. He is knowledgible about how to adjust for injury recovery or weak areas while offering encouragement and cheering you on as you build strength. He is delightful and has a wide range of music to play if that helps motivates you to action.
